Meet K.K.
K.K. Jordt is a portrait photographer and MFA candidate at SCAD, based just outside Seattle, Washington. With a background in both traditional film photography and digital techniques, her work explores the intersection of these mediums, blending the timeless with the contemporary. K.K.’s artistic practice is driven by themes of connection and belonging, capturing the unspoken ties that bind individuals, families, and communities.
Her exploration of alternative photographic processes, such as cyanotype, alongside digital photography, reflects her ongoing curiosity about how traditional methods can inform and expand digital practices. Through her work, K.K. seeks to create intimate, authentic images that invite viewers into a shared experience of memory, place, and identity.
Currently living in the neighborhood she grew up in, K.K. work is deeply inspired by the sense of home, both physical and emotional. She is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of photography while honoring its rich history and craft.
