K.K. Jordt is a photographer, teacher, and writer working in the Pacific Northwest. She is currently an MFA candidate at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her practice explores faith and doubt and how they work together. 

She works largely through historic photographic processes such as cyanotype, Polaroids, emulsion lifts, and sun printing, using them to explore collaboration rather than technique. Chemistry, the mysteries of the universe, and her hand working in harmony. This extends into her material practice, which favors natural light exposure, non-toxic chemistry, and reclaimed or organic materials over synthetic ones.

Threaded through the work is an interest in inheritance and belonging. How faith, doubt, and care can evolve within stagnant and ever-changing landscapes. She is drawn to images that hold the largest human questions inside the smallest, most specific moments — without needing to argue, defend, or resolve them.
