Meet K.K.

K.K. Jordt is a portrait photographer and MFA candidate at SCAD, based just outside Seattle, Washington. With a foundation in both film and digital photography, her work navigates the interplay between past and present. K.K.’s artistic practice is guided by themes of connection, ancestry, and environment, illuminating the subtle ties that link people, histories, and landscapes.

Her exploration of alternative photographic processes, such as cyanotype, alongside digital photography reflects an ongoing curiosity about how traditional methods can inform and expand digital practices. Through her work, K.K. creates intimate, authentic images that invite people to connect around shared memory, identity, and place—offering gentle reflections on legacy and the lasting threads that quietly weave through our lives.

Currently living in the neighborhood where she grew up, K.K.’s work is deeply inspired by a sense of home—both physical and emotional. She is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of photography while honoring its rich history and craft.
