Remember these Captiol Hill partying bbs? Now do you? I love, love, love, love, LOVE these two. And no I did not just type “love” five times to bump my SEO. I typed it because I truly, truly mean it. I met Kat when we were in college, we reconnected when I started my photography career, and then I got to meet Dan when they graciously picked me to capture their big day.
Every wedding related meeting with these two involved wine or coffee, and in most cases both. Ahh swoon! Conversations would divulge into gaming, eating, and wonderful stories about their two cute pups. We’d lose track of time, laugh a bunch, and I would completely forget that I was “working”. That’s how good art is made, people!
The big day finally came around, and it was a big day indeed! Check it out for yourself:
As I watched these two get married, I was holding my camera and holding back tears. Both from tons of emotion and tons of crying. Photographers cry too! Their officiant created a ceremony with tons easter eggs that totally reflect Dan and Kat’s personality: song lyrics, Brooklyn 99 references, and Pokemon lines. I caught myself frozen in awe of these two. Every single person who spoke during the night teared up while trying to give them a toast. Every single person who got to hug them on the dance floor literally jumped for joy. And every single person was just so dang happy these two sealed the deal. I never loved my job more than this night. Thanks for the kick ass part, Dan and Kat. Your love is LIT.
