Hey, hi, hello!
I met Marie and Kennedy for the first time via Facetime, where we cheers’d to our similar interests in wine, plants, and long Sunday mornings. What a time to be alive! Amirite? Making besties with strangers over a phone face call. Wow.
OLD SOULS - NEW LOVE
When I think back about being around Marie and Kennedy, it’s like being around a young person with an old soul. They’ve haven’t been a couple for a very long time, but it sure feels like it. In all the best ways. Don’t believe me, yet? Keep scrolling! See for yourself.
SLOW JAMMIN’
To start, Marie and Kennedy invited me into their home on an early weekend morning with pastries ready and mimosas in hand. We lost ourselves in conversation and jammed to the Eagles on vinyl. Throughout the morning, we played in the early light, watching how it changed throughout the house. We made fun of Marie for all her plants, but then quickly recounted those laughs to pure admiration and enjoyment. I mean, how does she keep them all alive? Love, I think.
STAY HOME
After this part of the session, the three of us went for a walk around their neighborhood and then down the Pike Place Market. But, we are gonna stay right here with these images for now. Because, I want you to really dig into what’s going on here.
And as you can tell, these two amazing humans are being just that: Human. Goofing around, eating, listening to music, just being. That’s darn beautiful, y’all!
Hopefully, you and your partner have chances to just hang like this on a regular basis. And if you do, I encourage you to catch yourself mid-sip of that hot beverage of yours and breathe in all the roots you’re laying in that moment.
Slow Sunday mornings (or whatever day of the week) are what growing a life together are all about! It’s when you notice that extra freckle under their eye that you’ve never spotted before. It’s when you giggle like you did when you were four and they’ve never heard that before. It’s when you finally feel comfortable to say, “Hey, I think I’m ready to talk about (*insert big life topic here*)”. Yeah. Woah. I just went there.
Feel the roots getting deeper now?
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT IN HOME SESSIONS:
You’re on your turf.
Unlimited time to hang and feel comfortable. *Another pour of champagne, please!*
Cherishing little moments that are quickly forgotten.
(I mean when was the last time you reminisced about a slow Sunday morning? Can you remember every little detail? If you can, I want your brain!)Doing things your way on your own time.

DAY DREAMIN’
Whatta dream to be a photographer in someone’s home! I’m truly honored when I get the chance to do so. I feel like a fly on the wall, witnessing you two at your very best. Calm, rooted, and loved.
So, let me close with a question. What do you think? Slow mornings with the one you love could just become a weekly ritual. Let me know if they do!
